Impact Mother Nature tried, but back-to-back snowstorms could not slow the health reform debate in Washington last month. After the Massachusetts election, the White House and congressional leaders regrouped and came out “with guns a-blazing,” as one aide said. And so did we, stepping up our production of op-eds, radio and TV interviews, briefing papers, and hosting conference calls for the media and colleagues. They aren’t letting up, and we aren’t either! Speeches and Events - On February 16, the Galen Institute hosted a conference call for reporters and policy colleagues with Dr. Robert Dove, Senate parliamentarian emeritus, who discussed the feasibility and hurdles of using the reconciliation process to enact health reform legislation.
